Runners accumulate points over a series of races throughout the year.
To recognise the challenge every finisher receives a medal for their efforts.
This is no participation medal though! To be counted as a finisher you must complete 8 races across three of four categories: short- , middle- , long- distance, and off road.
A bonus 10 points are awarded when runners volunteer at a running event, as these event cannot happen without marshals!
The runners compete against other members in their age and gender category.
The runner with the greatest number of points overall wins!
In 2023 we dedicated this award to Sian Roach. Sian was the first ever Caerphilly Runner to win the Club Championship, something she was thrilled to achieve. Sian epitomised everything it is to be a Caerphilly Runner and she was a very deserving winner of the Club Championship. Sian sadly passed away in 2023, but she will forever be a Caerphilly Runner!
